This school is absolutely horrible. I've been there since sixth grade and the experience is not a good one. Too many fights, profane language, lazy teachers, horrible curriculum and a few selection of electives. Please do not go to this school.

This school turns out to be the worst schools in California. Students speak profane language, too many fights, careless teachers, littering around the whole campus, disorganized and not ready, students bringing Starbucks coffee and Hot cheetohs, people stand and talk until the bell rings to their next class, lack of maturity and discipline to all the students. I'm pulling my child out this misery.

So far the teachers are nice. I can't stand the epad program. It allows for students to go online when they should be doing schoolwork. When brought to principal's attention basic comment is kids will be kids.

I am very disatisfied with the school. So many fghts there i am now pulling my child. I get constant obstacles and denial when dealing with administration. This school is not safe.

I like their epad program however, it is not fully utilised, how sad! Dress code is not enforced, frequent fights. Some teachers are dedicated but some just don't care. I think students are not being monitored in class. It is difficult to find out student development in class. They don't challenge or motivate student enough. If parent does not get involved or pay attention to their class and homework assignments your child can really go astray.

Coming from a student at LGMS, I personally think that it has completely turned itself around in the last year. The negative comments, are directed towards the old principal of LGMS, David Torres. The principal this year Mr. Ambler Moss, have opened up new doors that have created a cleaner and safer learning environment.

I have been very dissapointed with the disorganization and overall communication at this school. There have been many times where we have had to fight against the administration for the basic needs of our child and have encountered complete apathy. The principal in particular does not seem to care about the needs of the students and seems to view the parents as a nuisance. I will say that the teachers themselves have been wonderful.

I was surprised to find some of the negative comments written about this school; particulary about its teachers. I have found many Lemon Grove Middle School teachers to be extrememly dedicated to their students, going above and beyond with their commitment to help their students. Many stay long after school is dismissed to help and motivate them. Their dedication is obvious and it is ashame that others don't see this as well.

I am a very involved parent and I hate to say this. This is a school that is completely out of control. Bullying and violence is rampant with no consequences. Trying to solve problems or get help for your child is like talking to a wall and more frustrating. This school is not worth your childs education, safety and well being. This school needs extreme help. The staff here do more harm than good. Our children will not be back for 2007-2008.

Well.. I'm a former lgms student. And I thought the school was great. The teachers I had were for the most part very interactive. Yay Mr. Tyler!

This school is a mess. A bunch of disinterested teachers. I would not recommend this school to anybody in the process of choosing a school for their child. Maybe more state funding would remedy the problem.

I am an involved parent and was very disappionted 2005-2006 with the lack of time, effort and attitude of the teachers here. Even when my son and I tried to get help for him ,the majority of his teachers seemed disengaged. He will not attend 2006-2007.

I question the kids safety at this school. The teachers, although there is one or two, do not seem interested in controling their classrooms or whether or not the kids actually pass their class. The only thing going for them is they have a band program which they actually have to go to an hour before school starts.

Personally,I felt this school was lacking the necessary connection skills to provide a safe and fun learning environment with students. My daughter attended this school and too many problems occurred. I pulled my child out after the first year.

The teachers for the most part do not seem to care about the students. They also do not stay on top of grades or assignments. Makes it difficult to help your kids. Also, student enviroment is not always friendly.

I don't really like this school because the test grades are really low. Some of the teachers are mean.

They offer a 'Tablet' program. Which was in it's beginning stages. The staff was very helpful and involved. The students were disorderly, and fights were common. The school did not enforce dress code standards.

This school rocks. First I had applied my children another middle school, but they did not like it. I moved them to Lemon Grove Middle and they seriously loved it. They say the best thing about that school is the 8th grade teachers.
